AIGOOOOOOO….It has been a long time since I last blogged
(OMgggak, close to half a year) and so I shall pen down whatever has happened
this past half a year.
27 May to 18 June
2013: This could probably be the longest holiday I would ever go in my
lifetime. A good 24 days covering 3 countries. Truly memorable and fun, yes, we
have those photos (glamorous, unglam, candid , secret , selfie shots) which
will go a long way down the memory lane. This trip also meant living together
with a group of friends and thus having to accommodate to each other’s pattern
and behavior. I would say the group of us got together pretty well (since I am
always trolling the rest) other than a few hiccups along the way which do upset
the atmosphere at times. But I guess these are inevitable since couples can also
quarrel what more to say about a group of friends. Putting that aside, I am
missing you (KOREA) that I have to console myself that I would be back in Autumn 2015.

14 July 2013:
The moment of glory to step upon the stage after a laborious 10+ years of
education. But what was I exactly
feeling on that day? Joy definitely but I would not say that I am happy but in
fact feeling quite dreadful as I have to start work the day straight after. I
guess I am feeling more of the reluctance to start work so soon after all the
fun in grad trip rather than the joy of graduation.
15 July 2013 –
Present (WORK at Singapore Eye Research Institute) : And faithfully this day, I reported to work as a Statistician. I
know the job title probably sounds boring to most but I guess I should give it
a try since I am offered the opportunity. Now on hindsight, I think I made the
right choice in accepting this job offer back then on 10 May as I saw how
several of my friends (Stats / Non Stats) friends struggling to lay their hands
on a permanent job, I probably would end up like them had I not taken up this
offer. Today marks my 5th month of commitment in this job, TBH this
job isn’t too bad now for a start but I guess the only downfall is career progression/pay
increment. TTs jinja saggy ds… Assistant Manager once said SERI gives a good
platform for a first job as it is the only place not even MOH) where
statisticians do get their names published on renowned Journals across the
world; hence a great place to build up experience and resume. I couldn’t agree more on that and aigoooo
should I even consider doing part time Masters since SERI do provide
sponsorship and allows the bond to be served concurrently while doing Masters.
But that meant another 3 years stuck here? Bad or not I dk aigoooo. Shall serve
faithfully my 1 year contract and we shall see how it goes bah.
Of Instagram:
I think since I embarked on the grad trip journey, my instagram has been
otherwise termed to be like a food blog as my other friends have feedback to
me. I take that as a compliment and I would upload more swee pictures up
there. Aigoooooo, eating good food is
not necessarily on an everyday basis. Just some simple tricks and people would
be thinking you are having goodfood daily, lmao really. That’s not all to it
yet, latergram shall take its stage for now mostly and I shall play something
new in 2014. HAHA no毒no
lose ds…

Variety Show: Other than work and food, I guess most of the remaining
time is spent on drama. AIGOOOOOO Korean drama is my latest craze ds.

Completed: Hundred Years of Inheritance; Her Legend; Secret;
Suspicious Housekeeper
[Aigooooo, most memorably in hundred years of inheritance,
Park Won Sook who starred as the character “Bang Young Ja” was so毒her acting skills jinja won
me over ds that I have to follow up on her next set-piece in Golden Rainbow.]

Korean Variety
Ongoing: Hello Counsellor; Mama Mia
[HC a very entertaining variety show of people submitting
concerns; I love it when the host narrates the story of concerns, jin 8 and
humorous esp the female host Youngja… hahas]
Taiwanese Drama
Ongoing: 天下女人心; 牵手
[If you ask me
where I learn how to be so毒, I probably learn from these shows. This drama no lose ds
in their drama plots lmao]
